Hours: Winter (1 November to 31 March): open Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Summer (1 April to 31 October): open Monday to Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Muiderslot Castle is open on all public holidays and during all school holidays (Northern region). Open from 12:00 on 1 January.

The castle itself is not accessible for wheelchair users due to many stairs and height differences. Wheelchair users have access to the castle gardens, ramparts, the castle courtyard, and the tournament field. Wheelchair users do not have to pay an entrance fee for accessing the courtyard and outdoor area. The grounds and catering facilities are accessible via wide paths and ramps. There is a disabled toilet in the catering area. Assistance dogs and guide dogs are allowed throughout the museum complex if they accompany a visitor with an identification card.
For children from 5 to 11 years old, a free scavenger hunt can be obtained at the ticket office. There are special children's tours on Wednesday afternoons. The audio tour is suitable for children. There is an inclusive nature playground. Children up to and including 12 years of age may only enter the museum complex when accompanied by an adult.
Information panels are available in Dutch and English. Audio guides can be rented, often with additional language options.
The castle itself is only accessible via stairs, including 83 spiral steps in the west tower. The castle cannot accommodate pushchairs or strollers inside due to stairs and narrow passages. Strollers can be taken around the grounds and castle square and parked dry under the arches in the castle square.
